Frankly, most of the book appears to be a dream vision. Perhaps the most memorable figure in the story is the city of Prague itself, recognisable through its landmarks derr as the Street of the Alchemists and the Castle. It’s deep, multi-layered and deeply philosophical. Number 6 will be disclosed after this return bit more of the inane conversation I’m having with the main character of the book. Part of me would have liked more description of characters and surroundings, but the way the story is structured it is good that the surroundings can be forgotten about.


Nice try, but I was thinking of Gustav Meyrink. One of the most enjoyable things for me is reading a story where the autor starts to blend the inner feelings of a character and his surroundings, the structures like buildings but also t I can barely find the right words for the feelings i have for this book.
