I guess what Derek is trying to say is that it’s easy to be classy if you compare yourself to a drug addict, poverty stricken, mentally Ill, or handicap person. I also found the fact that he kept talking about his ‘famous friends’ annoying.
blasherg This is the only book I’ve ever thrown out after reading There are no discussion topics on this book yet. I just found it after 7 years and my now-feminist, socially aware self couldn’t be more horrified by the content. And there’s nothing fashionable about that.

Apparently, there are only 4 different combos of complections I doubt his audience does. Blasberg is unashamedly vain and drops the names of his celebrity friends where ever he can. He gives a candid perspective on how to style yourself, how to act in the company of others and how to avoid or at least be able to recover from gaffes, other embarrassing situations and temptations. Derek might be a pretty cool and entertaining guy I did like his party suggestions and did think his inspirations worth researchingbut I found it pretty hard to stomach the half page personal story before coming to even a glimmer of actual advice.
This week i’m thinking i’m going to elaborate more on my thinking through out the book and how it’s varied within time.

I’m tempted to give an extra star for the revelation that Derek Blasberg’s feelings were hurt when some random on the internet called him Derek Assberg, but since all the sexist, antiquated nonsense in this book irritated me so much, I’m sticking with a two star rating. Moreover, this book is the kind that you can read for a while in the car, or for a few moments during a work break because it is not a story.

Its a fun like girly book that i can pick up and read whenever i have a few minutes.

While this is understandably annoying to some readers and to me sometimesI felt that this made him realistic and relatable I mean, who wouldn’t tell ev You must pick up this book knowing that it instructs you on how to be Blasberg’s definition of ‘classy’.
And my chronic fatigue syndrome prevents me from working out at the gym blasbrrg keeping the house dust-free and tidy, so I did feel he was a little out of touch with the common person for instance by recommending travelling coach to save money I wouldn’t consider any other option.
